The oldest Moravian mission station in southern Africa, founded at Genadendal in 1738. The mission governed land, labour, and trade through church authority for over 250 years, an example of the Institutions (I) layer in the TIME framework. Its 2038 tercentenary is a fixed strategic milestone for Ward 2 planning and shapes the Learning Campus and BLC programming.

The mission sits on Moravian Church land within the Genadendal settlement, alongside the Genadendal Mission Museum, the historic church, and the watermill.
