The three years bridging primary and FET schooling under CAPS: Grades 7, 8, and 9. In high school terms it refers to Grades 8 and 9. Compulsory subjects include two languages, Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Technology, Economic and Management Sciences, Life Orientation, and Creative Arts.
Grade 9 is the earliest exit point for entry into TVET colleges and the Elsenburg Livestock Farmer qualification (NQF Level 3). Greyton House’s existing WCED registration covers this phase.
