A pedagogy that organises curriculum around sustained projects that span multiple weeks. Learners work on a real-world problem over days or weeks, drawing on multiple subjects, and are assessed through the project output: a report, a presentation, a built artefact.

The Overberg BioHub Founding Brief describes Silverwood’s intended pedagogy as “project-based learning integrated with the BioHub’s BioScore and Nature Realm platforms.” In that model a Geography project might involve mapping a section of the Riviersonderend watershed while meeting CAPS content requirements.
