One of 21 sector-based bodies established under the Skills Development Act that fund learnerships, accredit training providers, and administer skills programmes within a specific economic sector. Relevant SETAs for valley programmes include:
- CATHSSETA for tourism, hospitality, sport, arts, and conservation.
- AgriSETA for agriculture.
- MICT SETA for digital skills.
SETA learnership funding often covers both training costs and a learner stipend.
