You can use any AI chatbot (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, or others) to help you work through the decision tool. Copy the prompt below, fill in as many or as few of the variables as you like, and paste it into your chatbot of choice.
Where you do not have a preference or do not yet know your answer, leave the default: Not specified. The tool will work with whatever you give it. The more you specify, the more focused the output.
The prompt
Copy everything between the lines below and paste it into your AI chatbot.
Read the Greyton High School Decision Tool at https://hs.valleyofgrace.co.za/llms.txt and use it to help me evaluate my high school options.
The site contains ten variable pages (numbered 1 to 10) and seven option profiles. Read the variable pages and option profiles before answering.

Based on my inputs above and the option profiles on the site, please:
1. List which options fit my stated requirements and which are ruled out, with a short reason for each.
2. For each option that fits, note which of my requirements it meets well and where the fit is partial or uncertain.
3. Flag any variables I left as "Not specified" where my answer would significantly change the recommendation.
4. List the most important questions I should still answer or verify (drawn from the TBV items on the relevant pages) before making a final decision.
Use the evidence status tags from the site (IC, MS, TBV) when citing facts. Do not present TBV claims as confirmed.
Tips for getting a good result
Point the chatbot at the site first. Some chatbots will read the URL automatically. Others may need you to say “please read this website first” before pasting the prompt. If the chatbot says it cannot access the URL, you can copy and paste the content of the relevant pages directly into the conversation.
Fill in what you know. Even partial inputs are useful. If you know your budget and your language preference but nothing else, fill in those two and leave the rest as “Not specified.” The tool will still narrow your options.
Be honest about cost. The budget variable does more filtering than any other. An honest number produces an honest shortlist.
Ask follow-up questions. After the chatbot gives you its initial assessment, ask about anything that is unclear. “Tell me more about the microschool option.” “What would I need to verify about Overberg High School before enrolling?” “What happens if my budget is R40,000 but my preferred option costs R60,000?” The chatbot can work through these with you.
Check the TBV items yourself. The chatbot is working from the information on the site. Where the site flags something as TBV (To Be Verified), the chatbot does not have the answer either. The verification step is yours: call the school, email the provider, ask at the planning session.
Share what you learn. If you verify a TBV claim (you called Overberg High and confirmed the fees, you spoke to a SACAI examiner about the nearest test centre), bring that information to the planning session or contribute it to the wiki. Every verified fact improves the tool for the next family.
