An international curriculum and examination pathway offered by some independent schools and online providers (including CambriLearn). It runs through IGCSEs (equivalent to Grade 10) followed by AS and A Levels (equivalent to Grades 11 and 12). Cambridge qualifications are internationally recognised and accepted by South African universities, subject to a separate Matriculation Exemption application.
Cambridge suits families planning international university applications, or wanting a curriculum that emphasises depth over breadth. It costs more to deliver and examine, and the subject menu is often narrower than at a large CAPS school.
